A period begins work on their class project, Thornton Wilder's OUR TOWN.

Cast List

Remember your due dates until Thanksgiving Break:

  • Character Warm-ups due each class day (see your assigned time posted in class on window or click on class document to right)
  • Thursday, Nov. 13th
  • Friday, Nov. 21st
  • Wednesday, Nov. 26th
  • The class we have immediately upon return from Thanksgiving Break--all cast members with less than 30 lines are to be COMPLETELY off book (memorized).  Cast members with MORE than 30 lines should see me to contract a memorization point.

ASSIGNMENTS DUE:

2:  More Character Work (choose 2): 

  • character soundtrack
  • character collage
  • character box
  • character monologue

3:  Blogs (4 total--must be at least 1 page each):

  • What are ways in which you are LIKE your character?  Unlike?  Think of all facets--physical, emotional, familial, social, etc.
  • Based on the rehearsal process and your character development so far, would you consider yourself an "outside in" or an "inside out" performer?

Support Local Theatre--Go see... Annie!which will be
held in the National Theater/Teatro Nacional starting Oct. 10th and continuing each
weekend until Oct. 26th.
The tickets can be purchased from the National
Theater ticket office, Club de Lectores Listin Diario, La Sirena (Ave.
Churchill), Pola (Ave. Sarasota), Pola (Ave. Lopa de Vega). The price
of the tickets are: $1500 Platea; $1000 Balcon. The performances held
on Friday nights will begin at 8:30PM; Sat/Sun performances will begin
earlier at 7:00PM.

B period begins work on their class project, Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE, this cycle (Cycle 6).  We will be reading through the play and students will be assigned roles and begin character development work.
