Tuesday-Periods B and C. Correct the homework and review for the Chapter Test
Periods F and G-Assignment is the same as for Periods B and C on Monday.
Wednesday-Periods F and G. Correct the homework (Page 282) and review for the Chapter Test.
Thursday- Periods B, C, and F. Video-"This Century-Seeds of Change" 46 minutes.Students are to take notes. After viewing film, students are to use their own notes and write a summary of the video.
Friday-Periods B, C, and G. Test on Chapter 7"Looking to the West"

Explain in details, two different problems that farming on the Great Plains presented to the settlers.
Compare the effects the expanding western railroad had on Native Americans and white settlers.
Compare the ways in which Native Americans and homesteaders used land on the Great Plains.
Imagine you lived in the late 1800s and were thinking of migrating to the west. What are four questions you would ask a homesteader in the Dakotas to determine if you would like to migrate there?
