Yearbook

Welcome to the Year Book Class!

Students in this class will have the opportunity to develop their skills as photo journalists,copy writers and layout design artists.Dependable,mature,organized and motivated students are needed to make this years year book a reality.This course is unique as classmates,parents, friends and family and teachers and staff all look forward to seeing the final product come June. 

Please see the attached documents that provide information and assigned tasks on this course.

All year book students should regularly access the course shared file to review concepts covered and assigned tasks for the cycle which is also displayed below. Completed work should be placed in their own folder before or on the due date noted on the cycle calendar,unless otherwise instructed. 

Due dates are highlighted in bold capital letters.

Late Policy

Assigned work is due at the end of class,unless otherwise stated.Deadlines are critical in year book class, as missed work could mean missing pages in the year book! You get a one day extension on due dates for an excused absence. This does not apply to publication deadlines.

Three Days Late                                                       minus 50%

Failure to attend an assingned photo shoot              0

Failure to have assinged work ready for

editing or publisher submission deadlines.               0

No Cell Phones / I Phones etc.

No Swearing in class

No Throwing Things in class

No Food or Drink except water

 Gum should not be visible in the class.

Always clean up after you finish working.

Off task computer use in this class is not permitted. Grades for specific student projects are generally not discussed during class time.

Design Assingment # 1  ES/MS Student Life

Due TUESDAY OCTOBER 19

-take pictures,upload to a file marked with the grade level and edit to 12 pictures per page in a sub file  for a two page black and white spread...

-review "Uploading your Selected Images to Page Designer",upload your pictures to your assinged pages in page designer

-work within the design guidlines agreed to in class;

-no headlines on photos

-no angled photos

-captions under photos{you do not have to have all student names}

-odd # of photos on pages;5-7-9 maximum

-click,slide and arrange your pictures

-add headline and captions
